Beautiful, ugly,
Old, young,
Democrat, Republican,
Intelligent, impaired,
Male, female,
Straight, gay
American, Russian,
Black, white,
Literate, illiterate,
Poet, cop,
Me, you
Sick, healthy
Free, in jail
Mother Teresa, Buddha
We the people:
Do those words echo -
That old familiar bell?
The music is still there:
