Interesting. I thought "killing me softly" was about Marvin Gaye- the quote from Don McLean at the end is awesome. That entire album is pure poetry, check it out if you never have on a Sunday afternoon, when you have some time. You'll want to listen to it 3-4 times.
I used to have the album, but I donated my entire record collection (more than 300 albums) to the Salvation Army when I moved to the Pacific Northwest! I agree: Pure poetry :-)
