I'm celebrating, but for different reasons than why you've chosen silence. I'm trying to visit everyone today while I can. After my ASAP shoulder surgery, I'll be unable to type for six weeks.
Hey Dana, just left a comment on your blog. Wishing you all the good luck in the world with your shoulder surgery. Six weeks is a long time not to be able to blog (I should know!), but your health is what matters most. Stay strong.
P.S. Am I breaking my vow of silence by blogging? Well, I guess as I am not actually using my voice, most monks would give me a thumbs up :-)
Hey Dylan : Silence is a good thing. It beats the alternative. I have always loved " Sounds of Silence " which will forever stand the test of time - a beautiful song.
Have you heard the rendition done by Disturbed ? Naturally it belongs to Simon and Garfunkel - but I do like it a lot. His voice is soothing, yet remarkably powerful.
Thanks, Whisper. Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Patti Smith - I love their music more than most of the so-called poets out there. I haven't heard anything by Disturbed, but will see what I can find on YouTube. Thanks for the really cool info :-)

Dylan, all I can say is that I've always hated politics and am glad I never voted.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the "Sounds of Silence" has always been my absolute favorite song. I love it...and the memories it evokes.
Jon, I only voted once (and that was enough for me). This song has been a favorite of mine since I was in my early teens :-)

Enjoy the silence today :)
Hey Whisper, just listened to the rendition done by Disturbed - loved it big time! Thanks for giving me a clue :-)
