Reading about this movie has become more entertaining than viewing it. The Facebook & Twit herd would probably find it boring. While crafted to sell tickets, the attention to detail is impressive. Would like to see the uncut version.
Wow, that would have been a long movie to watch in a theater big time. I think he did the right thing, especially since we can now see the entire movie at home on DVD.

ReplyDeleteAccording to its IMDB page, "2001's" original running time was 160 minutes when it debuted in 1968. Kubrick subsequently removed 19 minutes
