I've never seen this video before - thanks for sharing it. Ironically, I'm a huge Frances Farmer fan. I discovered her autobiography in a Hollywood bookstore long ago and it was a fascinating read. At that time I didn't know anything about her. She was truly unique - a genuine rebel, and her life is so incredibly tragic. And you're right - she never received a lobotomy.
One fact that is totally false: FF never received a lobotomy. The movie (FRANCES)is only worthy because of Jessica Lange. She deserved the Academy Award. Instead they gave it to her for TOOTSIE. Typical Hollywood politics.
By the way, you're totally welcome. It seems like we both have an affinity for old black and white movies and those that appreciate them most :-)
P.S. Sure do miss Kurt. Never a fan of his notorious wife. Hell, she got her 15 minutes. Wish Kurt was still w/us...
