This was the "B" side of the "American Pie" 45. Yes, I'm that old :-D Love it when songs tell a coherent story.
I still have the original 45! No stereo to play it on, but it still brings back a lot of "splendor in the grass" moments for me :-)P.S. You're not old - far from it. I prefer the word wise (a word that Salinger was rather fond of).
